STUDENT EXPERIENCE

Student Support, Access & Inclusion

Clear information, accessible learning and fair routes to raise concerns.

Support begins with clear information

A strong student experience depends on reliable information about programmes, fees, learning expectations, academic rules and the responsibilities of different organisations.

Students should be able to locate current policies relevant to admission, participation, acceptable use of the learning environment, accessibility, assessment and resolution of concerns.

The IEU public site groups academic information, student resources and policies in accessible subject areas so that learners can orient themselves before choosing a pathway.

Access and inclusive learning

Accessible digital learning means that information and essential learning activities can be used by people with different access requirements wherever reasonably possible.

Quality considerations include readable text, meaningful headings, usable navigation, captions or alternatives where relevant, and an explanation of how reasonable adjustments are considered under the applicable policy.

Support arrangements and response channels can vary by academic pathway and responsible provider. Students should use the published programme guidance and support information applicable to their circumstances.

Student rights and feedback

Students should know the rules that govern participation and learning assessment, their own responsibilities and the available procedures for raising concerns.

Student feedback has value when it is considered alongside appropriate evidence about the relevant academic or administrative process.

General feedback, service complaints and academic appeals are different pathways. Their published rules describe when each route should be used.

Where to find help and information

Start with the Student Resources page for relevant academic and learner guidance.

For a specific concern, consult the Student Complaints Procedure or Academic Appeals Procedure in the IEU regulations library.

For disability-related access or inclusion questions, consult the Accessibility and Inclusive Learning Policy.

The Contact IEU page directs visitors to the current institutional information routes without implying that an unlisted helpdesk service is available.
